1/100 NZ-666 Kshatriya

Collected this monster last night from the post office. This version has aluminum parts for the miscellaneous items like the thrusters. Ordered this from SMS hobby store, which seems to be highly recommended in Plamo forum and they even supply Hobbyfan with recasts too.

Upon opening the parcel, I can understand why they are highly recommended. Firstly to my surprise, they use two cardboard boxes, one for the exterior (probably for the wear and tear of shipping) and a inner one which stores the parts has their company logo and a color photo pasted onto the box cover.
Very professional compared to the ones I bought from other online sites.

The kit includes 3 more colour photos of the finished product including a colored and detailed manual (Similar from an original set) and 1 set of decals.

Now onto the parts, the smaller ones are separated and vacuumed packed nicely. Even the aluminum parts / rods are packed in the same fashion. Which can be folded back properly and place back to the box easily without any hassle.

The bigger parts like the " shoulder armors ", front and back skirtings etc are packed in double layers of bubble wraps. And finally packed in a ziplock bag individually. I admit this is the first time i seen such organized packing done for a recast resin kit.

I took a quick glance of the parts but what i can say about the quality of the kit is that the details are pretty sharp and minimal flashes. The " shoulder armor " shows just how much the inner details are faithfully reproduced, which you can judge for yourself,

I will be a regular patron of SMS if this is a reliable gauge of their product standard.
And hopefully its not to late to cancel the normal version from E2046, which i preorder earlier.
If its not possible, I will do another review on E2046's version when I receive it.

1/72 VF-25S Messiah Valkyrie Ozuma Custom

Bought this kit from Latendo at Kallang Leisure Park. Its one of the latest kits from the Macross Frontier series manufactured by Bandai. This kit is transformable from fighter to gerwalk and to battroid modes.

I did a quick snapfit and sanded down all the nubs from the parts and assemble up the kit.
Transforming the kit wasn't as easy and parts tend to fall off. Gerwalk and Battroid modes has quite a lot of gaps which aren't pleasing to the eyes.

Though it isn't without flaws, Fighter still looks the best out of the 3 modes.
Probably will display in this mode when I ever finish painting it hehe

MK II Titans Maintainence Diorama

Some more random pictures of the MK IIs

Shields :-

Experimenting on tamiya silver on the front panel lines. Not easy to clean up due to the metallic particles so have to do it slowly and get it right the first time round to save tons of tears lol

Heads :-

If the seams are done up properly, painting is a very gratifying process ! Definitely looks great if I do say so myself xD

Hand  painted tamiya fluoresent green for the eyes, top and back lens.
Waited a few days for the green paint to dry up before sliding the faces into the heads. Which was a breeze due to earlier head modifications I did earlier on =D

Torso :-

Got too impatient and fitted up the torso and suffered some minor scatches on the skirtings.
Will have to resand and respray again sigh ~
The yellow looks abit wierd though, but I can live with it haha
